  3. What is a Family Doctor?
    Family doctors are trained in all areas of medicine. They can diagnose and treat the full range of problems people usually bring to their doctors. They know when to treat you, and, if necessary, when to bring in another specialist you can trust.

    Family doctors know the most current treatments and technologies. They train for 3 years in real practice settings, treating patients in the office, the hospital and at home. And they re-certify more than any other medical specialty. Family doctors also continue to educate themselves. This allows them to apply the latest medical breakthroughs to the everyday care of their patients.
  4. Dr. Brooks is a D.O. what does this mean?
    He is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Even though he completed medical school, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine, he practices with a unique philosophy. He feels this he delivers a "whole person" approach to medicine. Instead of just treating specific symptoms or illnesses, he regards your body as an integrated whole. Additionally, he occasionally uses osteopathic manipulation to treat some conditions like back and neck pain.

  7. I have a question for the doctor. What do I do?
    You're always welcome to just make an appointment. Or you can leave a message with the staff regarding medical concerns. They will get back to you after discussing the issue with the doctor.
  8. Can I make “same day appointments”?
    Yes! Just call and we will try to accommodate you.
  9. How do I get refills on prescriptions?
    Have your pharmacy send us a “refill request” for the particular prescription.
  10. Will the office call me with my tests results? Or should I assume no call means everything was normal?
    YES! We will always call you with all test results. So if you don’t here from us in 72hrs after performing a test, call the office. Remember if we don’t call you with results, call us!
